ENCAPSULATION COLLAR: TYPE 2

Application

Wide range encapsulation collar, 30 mm tolerance on pipe outside diameter for repairing pipes, sockets, leaking flanges or hot-tapping applications.

Technical concept

Universal wide tolerance permanent repair collars, encapsulation collars and tapping tees that can provide permanent solution to high and low pressure repair problems and tapping issues. Available in diameters from 350 mm to 1200 mm. Other diameters are fabricated on request.

Description

While the pipeline is under pressure, encapsulation collars are utilised to repair all kinds of pipes and their connections safely and permanently. We offer two types of encapsulation collars:

ENCAPSULATION COLLAR: TYPE 1

Application

Up to 16 mm tolerant encapsulating collar for connecting and repairing pipes, sockets, leaking flanges and elements or for pipe tapping. Suitable for use as a coupling.

Technical concept

Universal wide tolerance permanent repair collars, encapsulation collars and tapping tees. It provides the quickest and cost effective solution to high and low pressure repair problems and tapping issues. Available in diameters from 80 mm to 250 mm. Other diameters are fabricated on request.

ADVANTAGES: TYPE 1

  • Easy and quick installation: only side bolts to be tightened.
  • Easy to put even on oval pipes.
  • Suitable for any pipe material.
  • Angular compensation of up to 6° before or after installation.
  • The same fitting can be used either to repair a leaking socket or a damaged pipe or leaking flange.
  • 360° coverage.
  • High pressure rating.
  • Long body to account for the majority of repair issues.

ADVANTAGES: TYPE 2

  • Maximum flexibility on rigid pipes thanks to wide tolerance range.
  • Easy to put even on oval pipes.
  • Suitable for any pipe material.
  • Angular compensation of up to 6° before or after installation.
  • The same fitting can be used either to repair a leaking socket or a damaged pipe or leaking flange.
  • Large rubber rings ensure best agility  to pipe surfaces and ovalization.
  • High pressure rating.
